HIERVE EL AGUA WATERFALLS
A must stop to visit during your stay in Oaxaca. The two petrified falls that make up Hierve el Agua were formed after dripping water from the falls combined with minerals and calcified over centuries.
MONTE ALBAN
Important archaeological site built by the Zapotec culture. It was one of the first cities founded in Mesoamerica. In 1987 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
TULE TREE
This famous tree is located in Santa María del Tule. Its age is estimated to be more than 2,000 years, and it is considered the stoutest tree in the world.
SAN MARTIN TILCAJETE
This small town is well known for its Alebrijes, which are wooden sculptures that represent existing or inexistent creatures hand painted in various colours and forms. A great souvenir of your trip to Oaxaca to take back home.
TEOTITLAN DEL VALLE
This town specialises in rugs. These are made by local artisans and they mainly use natural fibres and colours to make them. If desired, rugs can be custom sized and one can select the colours and patterns.
SAN BARTOLO COYOTEPEC

SANTIAGO MATATLAN
